Terms of Service

By using Aylake you agree to these terms. If you use Aylake for a business, you confirm you are authorised to act for it. We are based in the United Kingdom; contact us at hello@aylake.com.

The free report looks at a business's public information: its website, its Google Maps listing, search results, and what AI assistants say when asked about it. It returns a score and suggested improvements. It needs no account.

Paid plans add AI checks every two weeks, alerts, drafted replies, Google Maps rankings and listing management. Plans are described on our pricing page and may change as the product develops.

Reports are indicative, not definitive. AI assistants give different answers to the same question at different times, to different people, and in different places. A report is a snapshot of what specific models answered at one moment, not a guarantee of what any user will see.

We query models through APIs. These are related to, but not identical to, the consumer products people use, and results differ between them. Where a model answered without searching the web, the report says so.

Scores are our own weighting of signals we consider important. They are not endorsed by Google, OpenAI, Anthropic or anyone else, and no score guarantees any ranking or business outcome. Suggested fixes are recommendations, not professional advice. You decide what to act on.

Each business can have one free trial of a paid plan, lasting 14 days. You need a payment card to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial. We email you the day before it ends.

When the trial ends, the plan continues and your card is charged monthly in advance, unless you cancel before then. Plans are monthly, with no minimum term. Payments are processed for us by Stripe.

You can cancel at any time on the Plan & billing page. The plan then stays on until the end of the trial, or of the month you have already paid for, and nothing more is charged. When a plan ends, its checks and alerts stop; what we found stays in your account.

A registered charity can ask for free access for one location. We decide each request by hand, may refuse it without giving a reason beyond the one we email, and may end free access with notice if the organisation is not what it said or the account is used for something else.

You can invite other people to your account at no cost. You decide each person's role and which locations they see, and you are responsible for what they do with that access. An owner can remove anyone at any time, and every business keeps at least one owner.

You agree not to:

• submit businesses in order to harass, disparage or impersonate them
• circumvent rate limits, or automate the free grader at scale
• resell reports as your own without our written agreement
• use Aylake to generate fake reviews or to filter out negative ones

On that last point: we do not gate reviews and will not build anything that does. It breaches Google's policies and we consider it dishonest.

We choose who we work with. We don't provide the service to businesses whose main activity is gambling or betting, the sale of alcohol or tobacco as the main product, adult entertainment, weapons, high-cost short-term lending, or anything that promotes hatred, violence or discrimination. We may refuse an account for these reasons, or end one with notice and a refund of any unused paid time, and we'll tell you why.

Where Aylake drafts a reply to a review, it is a suggestion. Nothing is ever published without your explicit approval, and once you approve it, the reply is yours. You are responsible for what is published in your business's name. Reviews touching on health, safety, legal matters or minors are escalated to you without a draft.

We aim to keep Aylake available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Parts of the product depend on third parties (Google, AI providers, search providers) and may not work fully when those don't. Where we cannot measure something, the report says so rather than guessing.

You keep all rights in the information you give us and in your business's content. You grant us permission to process it to provide the service. We keep the reports we generate and may use aggregated, non-identifying data to improve accuracy. Our support staff may look at your account, read-only, to help you or to keep the service running; each time is recorded. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period, or £100 if you paid nothing. The free report is provided as-is.

You can stop using Aylake or close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop, we will give reasonable notice and refund any unused paid period.

We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Material changes will be emailed to account holders. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
